• Maintenance and inspection of vehicles and equipment.
• Identification of parts required for repairs.
• Repairs of vehicles and equipment.
• Responsible for all company owned ground handling equipment, including TLD Aircraft push back tugs, TLD Main Deck Loaders, Diesel and Electric baggage tractors, Motorized belt conveyors and stairs, Minivans and Passenger Assist Units (PAU), Passenger transfer busses and toilet carts.
• Record keeping, spares ordering, running of workshop and 1 staff member.
• Responsible for health and safety in the workshop and whilst working on the airfield apron.
• Responsible for all logistics, construction, fencing and vehicle contracts on Camp Leatherneck and Camp Bastion.
• Client liasons for all contracts, United States Marine Corps and other Contractors.
• Health and Safety and quality inspections on all job sites.
• Responsible for 14 TCN and 78 Local employees.
• 25 Ton crane operator for installations of accommodation units and concrete blast wall protection.
• 40Ft flatbed truck driver for transportation of goods from airfield to site.
• Workshop supervision of hired and company owned vehicles.
• Responsible for company’s LSA safety and security, and all employee’s wellbeing.
Responsible for daily running of coach service and 39 drivers.
• Driver training and testing.
• Client Liasons and daily reporting.
• Vehicle inspections for safety and roadworthyness.
• Giving weekly “Toolbox Talks” on relevant safety issues.
Repairs and maintenance of NATO generators 12.5 kva – 350 kva
• Repairs and maintenance and operation of company vehicle fleet including Ford pick-up trucks, Crane trucks, JCB Backhoes, Bobcat Skidsteer Loaders.
• Accountable for all work carried out on NATO generators
• Repairs and maintenance of company fleet, including 16 Forklift trucks, JCB Telehandlers, Bobcat Telehandlers, JCB Backhoes, Toyota and Tata pick-up trucks.
• Carrying out LOLER inspections on plant equipment.
Repairs and maintenance of 55 seater Mercedes coaches.
